JP Clips vs OpusClip: which suits Kick clippers

Last updated

OpusClip is a different kind of tool from JP Clips. You upload or link a long video, and OpusClip's AI picks moments. JP Clips is an automated clipping tool for clippers: it follows Kick streamers an admin has added, collects clips that already exist, and renders a download. One is for a creator cutting their own long video. The other is for a clipper working from clips already in Discord. Prices checked 19 October 2026, check their site before paying.

What you do in JP Clips

An admin adds Kick streamers and classifies them as UK or US. The bot collects clips that already exist on those channels and posts them in Discord. Channels are free to view and read-only for ordinary members. You press Edit and Download. The step-by-step guide covers the buttons.

You choose a single panel, split screen top or split screen bottom, a blur, black or white background, and whether to mirror. Premium adds a saved custom watermark. Every plan renders at the same high quality. The render is capped at 3 minutes. You can have up to 10 renders running or waiting. You download the file from Discord, from /myclips, or, on Premium, from the website. A normal file lasts 2 hours. A recovered one lasts 6 hours from completion.

Sign-in is Discord. Free is 5 renders per UTC day. Trial is 20 per UTC day for 14 days. Premium is what includes the website. The plans have the prices. JP Clips does not add automatic captions, and it does not publish the render to TikTok or YouTube.

What OpusClip publishes

OpusClip's Kick clip maker page tells you to upload a long Kick video, or connect a link. The AI identifies moments, you review and edit them, and you download or publish. You can add audio, text overlays and transitions. OpusClip lists a free plan. There is no Discord feed of clips from Kick channels an admin tracks.

The pricing page lists Free at $0 with 60 credits, Starter at $15 per month with 150 credits, Pro at $29 per month, and Business as custom. Starter is listed as monthly only. The free card includes a watermark, AI captions, and renders up to 1080p, with a 3-day limit on the free MP4. Starter lists watermark-free export and posting to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. Pro lists a social media scheduler and the aspect ratios 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9.

Two different free limits

JP Clips prices are in pounds on the plans. OpusClip prints dollars: $0, $15 per month, $29 per month, and custom. The free limits are different units as well. JP Clips counts finished renders per UTC day. OpusClip's free plan lists 60 credits. A five-render day and 60 credits are not the same measurement, so compare the limit you would hit rather than the headline price.

Which afternoon you are having

If the clip is already sitting in a Discord channel, you do not need to upload a VOD. Open Edit and Download, save the file, and post it yourself. Join discord.gg/jpclips for that feed. If you are sitting on a two-hour Kick video and you want captions plus an AI pass over the whole thing, OpusClip is built for that upload.

A clipper who lives in the JP Clips sidebar and a creator repurposing their own long video are doing different work. StreamClipper and ClipManager are on the 2026 comparison. Submitting a posted link to Clipping.com is the money guide.
