JP Clips vs StreamLadder
Last updated
StreamLadder is built mainly for streamers clipping their own streams. You bring a clip or a VOD, edit it in the browser, and their pages describe captions and posting. JP Clips is the other job: Kick clips that already exist, collected into Discord, rendered, and downloaded. Prices checked 19 October 2026, check their site before paying.
The JP Clips job
An admin adds Kick streamers and classifies them as UK or US. The bot posts clips from those channels into Discord. You press Edit and Download, choose a single panel, split screen top or split screen bottom, a blur, black or white background, and whether to mirror. Premium can add a saved custom watermark. The export is capped at 3 minutes. You download the file. JP Clips does not add captions, and it does not publish the render to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram.
Free is 5 renders per UTC day in Discord. Trial is 20 per UTC day for 14 days, also in Discord. Premium is the plan that includes the website. The prices are on the plans. There is no JP Clips phone app. The auto-clip guide uses the Discord app on a phone.
What StreamLadder is for
StreamLadder's homepage says you can import from Twitch, YouTube and Kick, and export to TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. The free plan includes the clip editor, converter and downloader. The Content Publisher starts on Starter, and ClipGPT starts on Creator. New users get a 7-day trial of paid features. Basic editing does not add a watermark. Using Starter clip-editor features on the free plan does. There are apps on the iOS App Store and Google Play.
The Kick clip editor page says you paste a public Kick clip URL, or upload a file, with no account connection. The editor runs in the browser: vertical layouts for facecam and gameplay, animated captions, stickers, zoom and text-to-speech, then a download or a post through the Content Publisher. Its FAQ says the core editor is free, and that 1080p export and extra caption styles are on Starter.
The Kick VOD page says you paste a public Kick VOD URL and ClipGPT imports it and surfaces highlights. A Kick clip URL can be captioned and cropped. That is a streamer's afternoon, or anyone who already has the URL. JP Clips never asks you for the VOD, because it does not scan one. StreamLadder suits a streamer who wants captions, layouts and posting on their own footage.
The monthly prices
The pricing page lists Free at $0, Starter at $15 per month, Creator at $27 per month and Pro at $39 per month. A yearly plan is advertised as 2 months free. These are dollars. JP Clips prices stay in pounds on the plans.
- Starter: everything in Free, plus background export, faster 1080p 60fps export, all clip editor features, captions and special effects, and posting and scheduling.
- Creator: unlimited ClipGPT, up to 30 clips from each stream, auto captions, hashtags and hooks, for Twitch and Kick.
- Pro: 4K 60fps export and scheduling to X. Auto Pilot, and inviting editors, are listed as coming soon.
The comparison table also lists import from Twitch, Kick, Trovo and YouTube. JP Clips imports none of those by URL. It only posts clips from Kick channels an admin already added.
Who should open which one
If you stream, and you want a browser editor, captions and posting on your own VODs and clips, StreamLadder is built for that. If you are clipping someone else's Kick channel from the JP Clips sidebar, stay in Discord, press Edit and Download, and post the file yourself. Join discord.gg/jpclips for that feed. The home page has the plans, and the wider set of tools is the 2026 comparison.
